SECOND book I read by this writer and I can't find words to express how very much I LOVE her style of writing. Love the characters. The sense of family, the angst of young love not working out, the angst of meeting again and finding that love again along with family and friends getting involved, each of the lead characters injecting their feelings so you are totally included in all that happened in the past and the suspense of where the story is going. You feel the fear, the love as well as the humor of all that is going on. Each character has a function in the story and I could eqate with many of them. I love stories with compassion, love and humor and a bit of spicy romance. This was just the right amount for me. Write FASTER Miranda!! Bravo. Anxiously awaiting the next book . . .

Miranda does a wonderful job at keeping her reader entertains and intrigued. Such a wonderful I feel as if I was in the book with the characters!
Maddie broke her budget just to buy Nick back. Was it worth the $15,000? I think so! I loved reading about Maddie and Nick traveling back to their small hometown where their love story began. Even through a lies, an old family feud, and heart ache they were able to come back together and fine love.
One of my favorite troupes is second chances, so I was excited to read this book. To save her family's business, Maddie Kingston bids on and wins her ex-boyfriend, Nick Holter, at a charity bachelor auction. And this is where the fun starts! Nick is totally hot, and hides his soft heart beneath a tough guy exterior. I loved him so much. This is a a great story.
Her stories are just fab , in every sense! the writing pulls you into the stories , they don't lack luster and they don't fall down or drag and most of all with some novels but not with this writer the endings are not rushed , you will feel the emotions in this read and be satisfied, great author ! Great writing! I'll be reading more from her !
So sweet about making money losing its importance when you are in love. What a joy to see love redeem someone who has lost what is important in his life. She risked it all because she trusted their love and trust.
Miranda Liasson’s Heart and Sole is a great read. A story about lost love, revenge, second chances, and rediscovering who you are. A lot to pack into a story, but Miranda does it well. The heroine, Maddie, is fighting for her family business and will do anything to save it, including paying a ridiculous sum of money at a bachelor auction for Nick Holter. Nick is a man from her past who has made millions in an attempt to help his grandfather regain a business Nick believes was stolen from him – the same business Maddie is trying to save! The last thing Nick wants to do is go home again, but home again he heads when Maddie insists he spend the weekend in their hometown.

The story includes a crazy road trip, an interesting pie contest, an even more interesting dip in the lake and a really mean grandmother. All work as a great set up for the hero and heroine who face all these obstacles before getting the chance at love for a second time. The fun for the reader is the journey.
Heart and Sole is the newest work from author Miranda Liasson and one that I absolutely loved.
With a small town setting, the main character’s background and prior romance leading them to where they were today, and a long-standing family feud, this book was wonderful.
Maddie Kingston was in a bit of a pickle. She had to save her family’s business and had to find a way to do it damn fast. She had one hope…Nick Holter. Too bad Nick was the last person she wanted to ask for help from. He had broken her heart years ago and the wound was still way to fresh. But he had purchased a large chuck of the shares of the business and she had to make him see that he needed to save the company, not dismantle it. Could she sweep aside the broken pieces of her heart to save the day?
Nick Holter was in a bit of a pickle. He was the largest shareholder in his family’s sworn enemy’s company and although he would love to gain a bit of revenge for his family and shut down the business, he knew deep down he couldn’t do that to Maddie. Maddie, the girl from his past that he had never been able to let go. The girl he had never felt he was good enough for or deserved. But with a twist of fate, and a charity auction, he would end up spending the weekend with her in their hometown where all the feelings he had for her would threaten to surface. Could he finally tell her how he felt? Would she ever feel the same way for him….especially after he broke her heart?
With so much from their past threatening to keep them apart, can Maddie and Nick ever find their happy ever after?
I loved this book! It was entertaining and fresh with characters that leapt off the pages. I love a good reunited lovers story and also love a small town romance…this was a great mix of both. There was so much emotion between not only Nick and Addie but their entire family as well and that made the story that much more enjoyable. There’s a great combination of tender moments, family fueled drama, passion, and even a good amount of humor.
If you’re looking for a well-rounded story to spend an afternoon with, I highly recommend Heart and Sole! Thank you, Ms. Liaison, for a wonderful read!
